How can I Help?

Let’s talk about what you’ve got going on:

  • Are you starting a game company?
  • Looking to protect your trademarks?
  • Need some contracts drafted?

Book a 30-minute initial consultation where we’ll discuss your situation and determine how I can help protect your game business.

The consultation fee (currently a $150 flat fee) will be credited toward any legal services you decide to move forward with.

Your time is valuable, let’s make sure we’re a good fit for your needs.

Before booking, please confirm that:

  1. You have a budget allocated for legal services beyond the $150 consultation fee
  2. You’re involved with video games, board games, or interactive entertainment – otherwise I probably won’t be able to help
  3. You need help with one or more of:
    • Protecting your game IP (trademarks, copyrights)
    • Reviewing or drafting contracts, like publishing agreements, contractor agreements, EULA/privacy policy, or other game-related agreements
    • Business formation and structuring
    • Content licensing or clearance

Please note: We are unable to assist if:

  • You need free or reduced-cost legal services (here’s a link to resources that may help)
  • You are under 18 years old (I can’t represent minors, unless the client is a parent or guardian over 18)
  • You need litigation services
  • You need help with patent law (but we can refer you)
  • You require services in languages other than English

What happens in the initial consultation?

During our 30-minute call, we’ll discuss your situation and I’ll outline how I can help. We’ll cover potential solutions, next steps, and associated fees. The consultation fee will be applied as a credit if you choose to move forward with any services.

I conduct consultations using a Google Meet virtual meeting, that will be linked in the calendar invite prior to the call. If you’d prefer a different method, let me know by sending me an email after you’ve set up the appointment.

What doesn't happen on the call?

Until you are signed on as a client, I can’t give you any specific legal advice. The consultation is strictly for gathering information and determining how I can be of assistance.

Note: Setting up a consultation or sending any communications will not make you a client of mine. Until I have agreed to represent you, anything you send will not be confidential or privileged.

Before I can represent you, I will first take you through my conflict of interest procedure and ensure that no conflicts can be found. If you proceed with setting up a consultation or sending an email, you confirm that you have read and understood this notice.
