I’m launching my new podcast, “Legal Moves,” next week!

It’s podcasting time!

Readers may know that I’ve been doing a segment on The Dice Tower podcast over the past year, called “Legal Moves.”

In it, I discuss specific legal issues in the games industry. I’ve touched on protecting game mechanics, liability for failed Kickstarters and other issues. It’s been great working with Tom Vasel and Eric Summerer on the show. I’ve got big plans, though. Now it’s time to go big or go home!

Launching a solo podcast

I’ve decided to take Legal Moves and spin it out into its own podcast.

In the new format, I’ll discuss:

  • the latest games industry news;
  • answer listener questions; and
  • dive into a main topic each week to discuss with my special guests.

Speaking of guests…

Yes, I’ll have awesome guests on the podcast, as well!

Right now, for the first episode next week, I’ve got Jamey Stegmaier of Stonemaier Games and Andrew Federspiel of Knapsack Games coming on to discuss raising money on Kickstarter. We’ll be looking at things from a business and legal perspective, so this should make the content different from your average games podcast.

I’ve got more guests lined up in coming weeks, including:

Check out the site and subscribe

I’ve launched a site, www.legalmovespodcast.com, to house all of the full episodes. If you subscribe, you can check out all of the older Dice Tower segments that I’ve put up there.

I’m very excited about starting the podcast, and I’ll update this blog with each new episode.

If you have questions about the legal or business issues in the games industry that you’d like us to discuss on the podcast, please contact me with theĀ form below or email me at zstrebeck {at} strebecklaw {dot} com.
